The Uknown Codex - November 5

After the destruction of many of the Maya ancient books in 1652 by Bishop Diego de Landa in Mani, Yucatan it was believed only a handful of authentic documents survived; the Dresden Codex, Paris Codex, Madrid Codex and Grolier Codex. However, in the mid 1900’s an unknown codex appeared and was written about by Domingo Martinez Peredes, a Maya scholar from Motul, Yucatan. In this session Miguel Angel will share images from the Unknown Codex and introduce you to some to the writings from Domingo Martinez.

Mother Earth is Talking To Us - November 26

The Maya understood the language of Mother Earth and listened when she spoke to them. She speaks to us through Nature; the behavior of the birds, animals and insects. And also through the Elements with floods, droughts, hurricanes, fires and earthquakes. For most of us, reading these signs has become a lost art. However, there are Maya shamans who still can understand the deeper meaning of what Nature is trying to tell us. One of these is Maya Shaman Don Miguel Chavez from Chapab, Yucatan.  In this session he share some of his knowledge with Miguel Angel and helps us get reacquainted with Mother Earth.
