The Maya -Teachers, indicated to us that this initiation related with the Element EARTH comes to our lives when we are tested in our BALANCE and STABILITY. This balance and stability is required in order for us to have a Life and to live that Life in harmony with our family, our work or job, our personal relationships, and also with our thoughts and emotions that keep us well balanced in our personal process.

Acceptance & Adaptation

When we live in society as a human-being, we are tested with the Element WATER in relation with the power of ACCEPTANCE and ADAPTATION. The Initiation with WATER is important to us as we attempt to navigate the different circumstances that surface throughout our lifetime.

Water is the most precious liquid we have for Life and we all should learn from it how to be moldable, flexible, without resisting the different movements around us.

The test in the Initiation with the Element AIR is basically in relation to the fact that in our Life as Human-beings we are so ATTACHED to PHYSICAL and MATERIAL GOODS, feeling and thinking that they are indispensable requirements to achieve complete happiness. So, we must remember that we should move freely like the AIR that goes from one place to another without parking anywhere, flowing without attachments to anything.

After the destruction of many of the Maya ancient books in 1652 by Bishop Diego de Landa in Mani, Yucatan it was believed only a handful of authentic documents survived; the Dresden Codex, Paris Codex, Madrid Codex and Grolier Codex. However, in the mid 1900’s an unknown codex appeared and was written about by Domingo Martinez Peredes, a Maya scholar from Motul, Yucatan. In this session Miguel Angel will share images from the Unknown Codex and introduce you to some to the writings from Domingo Martinez.

Time is born of the beat of the universe as it moves in concentric circles like a great serpent in the cosmos. This story involves one of the most important Spiritual-Teachings about the Great Master-Teacher: QUETZALCOATL-KUKUULKAAN, who taught the Mayas the Sacred Cosmic-Wisdom. He taught for many years the Sacred Knowledge received from the Cosmos and Mother Earth in perfect balance and union. When he decided to return to the Stars he built a boat held by Seven Serpents and went to the sea and set fire to it. From his ashes he became a Beautiful Butterfly that ascended to the Planet Venus as the Morning Star where his spirit still resides, helping all of us spiritually until the end of time.

Miguel Angel shares the story of the Lords Hun-Hunaphu and Ixbalamke who descend to the underworld at the invitation of the Lords of the Xabalaba, as told in the Maya sacred book the Popol Vuh. They were tested by the Lords of the Underworld and their story is particularly relevant now as we face so many tests in our lives today.

The story continues with the Hero-Twins, Hunaphu and Ixbalamke, also going to the underworld to be tested by the Lords of Xibalba, passing all the tests, defeating these lords and returning victorious.
